Fresh produce
Veggie box is still reaping crop going into autumn. Carrots are a bit deformed but the beans are going wild!

Harvesting the crop
Here's a few pics of the veggies that have grown in the garden. Peas will be eaten tonight, though there's probably only enough for one person (note to self: sow more next year). The courgettes will be made inti fritters tonight. The spiky cucumber will need to grow a bit more. The beans still have a long way to go.

Vegetable garden
Just posting a few pics to show how the veggie patch is coming along. Lettuce needs to be eaten as something is eating it! Tomatoes are coming along well. Everything else is still growing.

Week off gardening
Not gotten quite as much done in the last week as I would have thought but we did achieve quite a lot.
Planted a few flowers, creepers and veggies and then tried to get the tree roots out. The stump was only ground down and has left us with a big hole after me trying to get the roots out. Need to get the tree surgeon back to grind it down some more.
Thanks to Paul for his help planting.

Tree Surgery
Now you see it, now you don't.
We had a tree surgeon over today who has removed a couple of trees and shaped a few others. We got loads of logs from the branches and stumps which are going to have to season over the next year.
We've got the week off to do some gardening, so it's a good start to the big picture.

Now just waiting for the foam cushion and blind to he finished. Will post more pics when they arrive.

Veggie boxes
Spent most of today assembling and filling wooden boxes which we'll be filling with vegetables.
The boxes are a mixture of top soil, compost and manure. And we'll be planting carrots, peas, French beans, aubergine, lettuce, cucumbers and more. We'll probably run out of space and have to put in another one. Good fun though!
Thanks to Paul & Maz for their help.

New dining room table
Not technically a DIY post but our dining table has finally arrived. Its 6ft, waxed on top and painted below in Farrow & Ball French Grey.
Also got some chairs too, one cava in the same colour and the others in an off white. All have a distressed look to them.
Going to break them in for my birthday dinner tonight with some mates.

Window Seat
Finally got the carpenter in after numerous delays by the decorator to build our dining room window seat.
We are both very happy with the final product as you can see below. Got some new software for my phone so I can upload more than one picture and show you the whole process.
The seats on both sides lift up so we can use them for storage. We'll cover it in foam padding and then have multiple cushions for behind your back. Still got to get a blind for the window!
Update: These will be the seats on one side of the dining table which we also still need to get!

Dining Room: Day Two
The roof and above the picture rail have both been lined today. The coving has also been done. The decorator is coming along nicely and is hoping to be done by Tuesday, so there will be a couple more updates.

Dining Room: Day One
It's been a long time since the last post. The decorator has finally started after fracturing his arm in December. We were pushed back again after he started his other jobs late. Anyway, he's here now and has started preparing the walls for lining and painting the room. The should be a few updates over the next few days as he finishes off the room.
