Toilet installed

The toilet was finally fully installed this week. Take any timing a tradesman gives you and double it! Anyway, it's in and working so we now have an en suite loo in the room.

I have just finished putting grout cleaner and protector on the tiles. The plumber put his grubby paws all over the paintwork so the walls will need another coat (will have to cover everything in paper/plastic) of paint. Black pipe will also need painting to white.

Toilet update

So the sink is in, and the tiles have been laid, though the grouting still needs to be done.

The toilet is in as of today but here's a picture from yesterday on how it was looking.

The cats obsession with water

Pickles & Tumnus are obsessed with water and will even go outside in the pouring rain! They will only drinking running water too, as you can see from the above photo. They spend a lot of time in the nice, clean bathroom putting dirty paw prints everywhere!

Bathroom

The bathroom has been almost complete for a while now and we're really happy with how it turned out from the above picture. It's amazing what you can do with a lick of paint!

The last few things that need to be done are finding and attaching a loo roll holder, hand towel ring and bathroom towel rail and that will be it.

Bathroom floor and bath siding

The quick fix vinyl flooring in the bathroom almost got the best of us (tricky to fit and cut!) but I finally got it finished today.

Paul and I also fitted a new, white siding to the bath, much better than the black and lightens up the room even more, along with the new floor.

Painting the bathroom

Over the weekend, we painted the bathroom with "Apple White" to get a consistant green theme going, rather than the nasty yellow paint and wallpaper they had in there.

The basin and surrounding tiles are another shade of camo green, and the toilet itself is white!? Not sure who their interior decorator was but we are trying to make the best of it.
