Spare Room update

We've finished painting the spare room last night. We've gone for a light brown colour called Wittering Sands on the back wall, which you can see here, and then a light silver colour called Cornforth White on the chimney breast.

All in good time too, we have a carpenter in today starting on the cupboard. He'll also be working on the alcove shelves in the lounge, so I'll be posting photo updates over the next few days.

Painting the spare room

We were up until midnight last night putting the first undercoat of white paint on the ceiling and walls.

The ceiling and coving will be white and the walls the same Fired Earth White Mulberry in our room. Still deciding on a colour for the chimney breast.

It alwayslooks quite clinical at this stage.

Lining ceiling for painting

Paul and I have started lining the bedroom ceiling with lining paper to get it ready for painting.

I imagine posts will be few and far between now as I'm back to work tomorrow (at Disney) so we'll only be able to work at nights or weekends.

Painting the bathroom

Over the weekend, we painted the bathroom with "Apple White" to get a consistant green theme going, rather than the nasty yellow paint and wallpaper they had in there.

The basin and surrounding tiles are another shade of camo green, and the toilet itself is white!? Not sure who their interior decorator was but we are trying to make the best of it.

Painting the kitchen pt. 2

Finally got the first coat of blue down on the walls of the kitchen. Here's a pic of Lucie while we were painting. Need to get a second coat on now and paint all the woodwork white, that yellowly colour is horrible. Also painted the cupboards and ceiling white and got a new roof light.

Painting the kitchen

We're giving the kitchen a lick of paint until we can renovate it. We're thinking light blue walls with white cabinets and woodwork. Much better than the nasty green coloured walls that were in there.
